Owner of Alphahouse Records, accomplished producer, and jet setting DJ, Butane (Andrew Rasse) hails from the Midwestern United States, the birthplace of many great electronic music acts. His infamous Alphahouse monthly party put St. Louis on the current worldwide techno map, and his record label is regarded as one of the premier left-field techno/house labels in North America.

As a DJ, Andrew uses vinyl, Traktor Scratch, samplers, effects, and whatever other new tools are available to craft his sets. Plenty of experience in clubs enables him to move bodies while simultaneously keeping a distinctly heady vibe. Technically gifted, with an ear for deepness, and with a penchant for taking the audience on a special trip, Andrew prides himself on playing appropriately for any time or setting. Because of this musical range, and his huge collection of new and old tracks alike, expect anything from seamlessly blended groovy, sexy, peak-time techno to warm, deep, heady house music.

As a music producer, his tracks have been featured on some of the world's most forward-thinking underground labels. With over 12 EP's and two albums to his credit, he has maintained a steady output of high quality music, all while touring to much acclaim. Licensing original tracks to mix compilations such as Matthew Dear's Fabric mix, Luciano's HiFi SciFi on Soma, and Damian Lazarus' Get Lost mix, it's obvious that his peers in the industry also hold his music in high regard. And regularly booked at all the top clubs in Europe, America, Asia, and beyond, he makes a strong case for himself as one of the true stars in this music scene.
