The Sick Girls are about combining art with street culture.

Their style is fresh, hot, bubbly and all about the bass.

Revolution N° 5 boldly proclaims that there have been 4 big revolutions in dance music up until now: Disco, Hip Hop, Techno and Drum & Bass - it's now time for a sound that reflects all that happened before.

When the Sick Girls lay their hands on a mix, nothing stays in its place.

Layer by layer the girls build on a journey through a sound that defines their aural universe.

More edited than mixed each track has to dovetail with the next in order to amalgamate into this one long meta-track that will keep the listener's attention throughout.

Revolution N°5, just a name? No! When the Sick Girls started out to spin their favorite tracks in 2004 Berlin was still all about Techno. A change was overdue and the girls found themselves right in the center of it: Grime! Dubstep! Bass! The new sound from the UK underground combined with Gangsta Rap, Bmore and Digi-Dancehall turned out not to move the Sick Girls' feet only. They collected more and more fans along the way until it was time to give the maximum sound a home. The girls set up their own party series in 2005, called - Revolution N°5.

Revolution is a symbol for power and renewal, for political or personal progress. The Sick Girls represent the fifth revolution, combining elements of all the former styles and bringing it all together to one big cutting edge hybrid state of the art of contemporary dance music. A sound with no borders and rules that obey one master only: the bass has to kick ass! Like as in Hyperdub, UK Funky, Bmore, Booty Bass.

With this compilation laced with their fresh edits and compositions, they reference all their different musical identities: there's a bow to the Beatles with their Revolution 9 sound collage. The Sick Girls created their own Revolution N°5 sound collage. It contains Hip Hop samples but with an inclination towards Techno using disco influences and a pinch of Drum & Bass attitude. Alex and Johanna say about this - "We find it in the new school music that's coming out of the streets. We are the bass sensing looking glass that spots every new promising trend and incorporates it in our style. If it's good, we got it. First. This record is for all that want to have a look at what's going on in the dance music underground of today. It's the Sick Girls and their special lense."
