Album: PAWEL by Pawel (Dial Records)
Release date: 25th of January 2010
Distribution: Kompakt

Pawel´s releases so far were rare gems. Not more then 5 EPs have seen the light on Dial and Pawel´s own outlet Orphanear. Even though, he explains, there was a constant working flow on tracks in all those years.

Something must have happened, due to the sudden outburst of thrilling releases. Starting with Lines & Curves, out in September 2009 on the New York based label Ransom Note, ran by infamous Adultnapper. Followed by the Berkeley EP on Dial on the 9th of November 2009.

Exactly ten years after his first release on the very first Dial 12inch in 2000, January 2010 will finally see Pawel´s long awaited debut album. Featuring timeless new tracks, with a clear affinity to the Dial sound but even more illustrating Pawel´s connection to early Playhouse tunes, by the likes of Isolée & LoSoul, as well as british heroes like Luke Solomon or Two Lone Swordsmen. The album also features some rare vocal parts by Pawel himself, who so far saved his singing capabilities for his alter ego Turner. Pawel´s live performances are famous for combining the energetic minimal house backings with his fabulous vocal skills.
