Pional aka Miguel Barros is probably Spain’s best-kept secret when it gets to electronic music production. This young multi-instrumentalist that compulsively colours his tracks with his own vocals, first burst into the scene with a 12” on the Barcelona-based Hivern Discs, the label from his friend, the infamous John Talabot, unveiling a slo-mo disco anthem –“A Moot Point”- that aroused great interest. His last reference for the label, the unique house gem “We Have Been Waiting For You” proves, this producer is one of the talents to follow and already got championed from people like James Holden and Erol Alkan.

Handcrafting a sound that explores house, deep textures or kraut influences relentlessly getting a special treatment, Pional’s three track “Last House On The Left EP“ for Permanent Vacation shows the great quality of this young producer, with his influences ranging from Moodymann to Matias Aguayo, from Caribou to Grizzly Bear. Miguels edit skills have been proved refixing Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti and Matthew Herbert's originals and his remixing skills have been already requested by Delorean (True Panther/Matador), Clinic (Domino Records) and Space Ranger (Lovemonk Recs), Pional's audacity make each and everyone of his efforts a new and exciting adventure.
